One metre length of rick rack (ric rac) trimming. Colour: black. Excellent quality woven 7mm braid. Ric-rac may be hand sewn, machine stitched, or glued, to the edges of a multitude of different items. This product adds a traditional wavy patterned decorative finished edge to curtains, cushions, aprons, skirts, dresses, hats, pinafores, dolls clothes, handkerchiefs, dressmaking fabrics, dancewear, theatrical costumes, retro party clothes and millinery. Also used for card crafts, invitations and scrapbooking. Historical note: ric rac first appeared in the 1860's and was originally called waved crochet/lacet braid. Please note that the wooden bobbin featured in our stock photograph is for display purposes and is not supplied.
