Actual measurement 38", 40", 42", and 44".  Yarn requirements may vary and are dependent upon individual knitters tension and sizing required. Pattern requires one pair of 5mm (US 8) knitting needles, and 6 buttons. Tension: 14 sts and 20 rows to 10cm/4" measured over stocking stitch using size 5mm needles.
